At least nine persons died and one injured due to fatal collision between a truck and two cars in Haripur district on Monday. According to Haripur Police spokesman, the tragic incident occurred in Daidan area on Haripur-Hasanabdal Road in the limits of Kot Najeebullah police station where a speeding car rammed into a truck while the driver of another car behind it lost control steering wheel. Consequently the car after spinning, collided with a truck, killing 9 on the spot while another sustained injuries.
The police and local residents rushed to the spot and shifted the injured to hospital. The identity of victims could not yet be ascertained.
