The city police on Tuesday claimed to have arrested 59 alleged criminals in different targeted raids and encounters conducted in various parts of Karachi during last 24 hours. Police said in 88 raids and three encounters carried out as a part of the on-going Karachi operation led to the arrests of 59 criminals who were involved in various criminal activities.
Police have booked 16 criminals under the Arms Act and five were charged under the Anti-Narcotics Act. The arrested criminals include six absconders or proclaimed offenders (POs), one dacoit, and 31 others involved in different criminal activities. Police said they have recovered 19 handguns, and 1,435 grams of Hashish from their possession.
