Pakistan Muslim League-Q (PML-Q) senior central leader and former Deputy Prime Minister Chaudhry Pervez Elahi has said "Go Nawaz, Shahbaz Go" slogans have become voice of every heart and now N-League leaders and workers were also raising these slogans. He was talking to a delegation of Markazi Anjuman-e-Tajran, former local bodies' office-bearers and PML leaders at his residence in Gujrat on Monday.
They included Iftikhar Shakir, Shabbir Khan, Bobby Pehalwan, Imtiaz Rathore, Chaudhry Nisar of Khojianwali and Chaudhry Iqbal among others. Chaudhry Pervez Elahi said that they were the first to raise voice against worst rigging in the elections and now all parties were talking about this rigging. He said protest against oppression and rigging was democratic right of the opposition and this was not unconstitutional, however, changing electoral results was unconstitutional, illegal and heinous crime.
He said now even close colleagues of the rulers were forced to openly admit corruption, lawlessness and incompetency in the country, how could such rulers claim popularity with whom the people were not satisfied and protesting on the roads here and there. He said the rulers were afraid of sit-in which was giving them sleepless nights and their ears keep hearing anti-slogans and they wake up hearing even in their dreams anti-slogans and sit-ins.
Chaudhry Parvez Elahi further said that nobody was opposed or enemy of the parliament and established democracy, protest and agitation were being done against rigged election results and the fake and oppressive govt that had ruthlessly massacred innocent persons. He said these rulers should themselves resign at the earliest so that political stability was established in the country.
