An internal meeting at headquarters of Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) was chaired by Chairman BISP, Enver Baig. The meeting was attended by Director Generals and consultants hired by BISP. In his remarks, Chairman BISP explained that the purpose of the meeting was to evaluate the value and efficiency of consultancy services hired by BISP.
He added that BISP is moving from one era into another and at this critical point in the organisation, the consultants will have to produce more effective operational plans to improve the worth and working of the Programme. Chairman BISP reminded the participants of their duty towards the organisation and urged them to work harder for betterment of this Social Safety Net initiative of the Government of Pakistan.
Consultants are hired from Technical Assistance Project of international donors like World Bank, keeping in view the scientific and modern approaches adopted by BISP. The purpose of TA positions is to develop modules and components for BISP and to provide technical input on important operational documents.
During the meeting, participants gave a short briefing on their work progress and how they have created a difference for the organisation. On the occasion, Chairman BISP laid down the targets before the participants and directed them to double their efforts to achieve those targets. He said that the performance of each individual will be evaluated against the Terms of Reference of each position and improvements will be made accordingly.-PR
