Pakistan People's Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Wednesday said that it is not him who issued orders to Sindh police chief for recruitment of women in police but it was his party's policy. "It's not my wish it's party policy," Bilawal posted on twitter minutes after Samaa telecast news that IG police Ghulam Haider Jamali admitted taking orders from the PPP chairman.
Earlier, Sindh police chief announced that 1,000 women would be recruited in Sindh police as per orders of Bilawal Bhutto. He said that he never issued any order and as a PPP chairman he can only advice government of Sindh. The PPP chief expressed pleasure over the government's decision to recruit women in police force. He said that the initiative to establish women police stations was taken by late Benazir Bhutto. 'Until police has equal representation for women, only men will have access to justice,' he tweeted.
