Muttahida Qaumi Movement leader Muhammad Hussain on Wednesday strongly criticised Sindh government for alleged corruption, nepotism and mismanagement and its failure to address issues of Urban Sindh, especially Karachi. Addressing a press conference at Karachi Press Club, he said that despite Supreme Court's order to hold local government elections, the government conspicuously making lame excuses and using delaying tactics. He said that the government did not seem sincere in devolution of power to the people.
He said that the government had posted its favourite bureaucrats on key posts, who were violating the law. He said: "The government tried to steal our mandate and wants to seize the resources of urban areas." Hussain said: "People of urban Sindh were pushed to the morass of difficulties." He also warned the KBCA authorities and builders to stop constructing illegal building by giving bribes. He said that whenever MQM would come into power it would bulldoze all such illegal constructions.
