Army chief reiterates resolve to counter provocation at LoC

Chief of Army Staff (CoAS) General Raheel Sharif on Friday visited troops deployed in forward localities along Line of Control (LOC) near Jhelum and reiterated that any provocation along the LoC will be responded effectively. While interacting with the troops, the CoAS appreciated their morale and operational preparedness on front line.
General Raheel expressed complete satisfaction on the state of readiness and vigil being maintained by troops. The CoAS paid rich tribute to the officers and men of Pakistan Army along LoC on their supreme sacrifices and determination in the defence of country. "The entire nation felt proud of the soldiers deployed in defence of the motherland," he said.
According to ISPR, he was briefed by local commanders about the prevailing security situation along LoC. Earlier on his arrival, the CoAS was received by Lieutenant General Qamar Javed Bajwa, Corps Commander Rawalpindi Corps.
