The Chinese delegation spent time in understanding the inherent strengths of Pakistan textile industry. Senior Vice Chairman APTMA Seth Muhammad Akbar and Chairman APTMA Punjab S M Tanveer welcomed the Chinese delegation at the APTMA Punjab office.
Speaking on the occasion, Seth Akbar said APTMA had reached an understanding with the Chinese Machinery Engineering Corporation for setting up of a 330MW coal-fired power plant. He further expressed the hope that interaction between APTMA and the Yantai Chamber would boost co-operation in the textiles and energy sectors, adding that co-operation would bring synergies of strength between the two countries.

He expressed the hope that Chinese prospective investor would analyse the information provided by APTMA and decide undertaking investment in Punjab. He said the various industry project including technical textile could be the prospective future co-operation between the two sides.
According to him, the Chinese businessmen would invest more in Pakistan in the years to come.
