Plan9 and Punjab Information Technology Board's Technology Incubator held an event 'Get in the Ring-the Investment Battle' at Arfa Software Technology, here on Thursday. It may be added that Get in the Ring-the Investment Battle-an International event-was held in Pakistan for the first time and Plan9 grasped the opportunity to host it.
It is a unique investment pitching competition coined by the Erasmus Centre for entrepreneurship where start-ups confront each other in a boxing ring for five rounds, called a battle. These battles take place between June and November in various cities around the globe every year. Eight startups have been shortlisted from all over Pakistan for the National Battle. The battles' line up is as follows:
1. Magision vs Vision Plus, 2. IdeaCentricity vs Laborforce.pk, 3. BugDev Studios vs PlayBolt Studios, 4. Appography vs Plagiarism Checker X. The winners of this National round will compete in the Regional level competition in Saudi Arabia. Finalists of Regional Battle will then get a chance to appear in the Final in Netherlands where the winners will secure an investment worth Euro 1,000,000 to start their protected entrepreneurial journey.
