Lifebuoy Pakistan has launched a partnership with renowned organisations and members of civil society and leading members of media and cinema to raise awareness on the importance of hand washing with soap.
Lifebuoy Pakistan revealed the group supporting this cause at a local hotel, which includes Aman Healthcare Services, a philanthropic organisation dedicated to improving health care access in Pakistan, Dr Iqbal Memon, President, Pakistan Paediatric Association Centre, Juggan Kazim, actress and anchor person, Zeba Bakhtiar film and TV star and blogger Anila Weldon, the founder of Weldon Moms. The group is at the forefront of the mission to help children live till the age of five and beyond ("Help A Child Reach 5").
Lifebuoy Pakistan has also announced its commitment to pilot its global hygiene intervention model at village level in Sujawal Tehsil in Thatta District for the commitment of saving lives through hand washing education. Under the pilot, Lifebuoy aims to improve hygiene standards in select villages in the Tehsil by providing hand washing education to children and their families to reduce the number of children dying from infections such as diarrhoea and pneumonia.
