Imamia Rabita Council (IRC), Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Saturday staged a protest demo against target killing and growing incidents of kidnapping for ransom here in front of Peshawar Press Club (PPC). The protesters led by chief of IRC supreme council and former Senator, Allama Syed Mohammad Jawad Hadi was also participated by the representatives of Majlis Wahdatul Muslimeen and Imamia Students Organisation (ISO). The protesters burnt tyres and chanted slogans.
Addressing the protesters, Allama Jawad said that on one hand military is after terrorists in the mountains while on the other hand the terrorists are continuing their activities under the nose of the government, which is the ample proof of ineptness and failure of the government and administration.
He said that through foreign funding and under conspiracy the genocide of peaceful and innocent Shia Muslims is continued. He said that the killing of two elders of Shia sect is a matter of high concern while the local administration while giving lolly-pop to the people and in the name of friendly operation make some so-called arrests. He said that in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa the life and properties of no one is secured from target killing, kidnappings and extortionists. Thousands of people, he said are withdrawing their capital to migrate from the province.
He said that after Shias now Sikh minority is being targeted, which is not only against the teachings of Islam, but also against the moral manners. Allama Jawad Hadi demanded immediate arrest of the killers of Haider Ali to bring them to justice and instead of conducting friendly operation conducting real operation to guarantee protection to the lives and properties of the people. Otherwise, he said they will join all patriotic and peace loving political parties to stage sit-in front of Chief Minister's House.
