Futures spreads up by 1487 basis points

The futures spreads increased by 1487 basis points to reach 9.89 per cent during the outgoing week ended Sept 26, 2014. A week earlier it closed in negative position of 4.98 per cent. During the last week, the trading activity on the future counter witnessed an upward trend and average daily volume surged by 90.3 per cent to reach 37.63 million shares. Similarly, with an increase of 73 per cent, the average daily trading value stood at Rs 2.575 billion end of the last week compared to Rs 1.488 billion a week earlier.
