A three-member delegation of British High Commission headed by Liaison Prosecutor Mark Carroll called on Inspector General of Police (IGP) Sindh Ghulam Haider Jamali, here at Central Police Office. According to a statement on Sunday, DIG (Headquarters) Abdul Aleem Jafferi and AIG (Operations) Sharjeel Kharal were also present on the occasion.
The delegation, on behalf of British government assured full support for different training programmes for Sindh Police.
The programmes include training regarding basic responsibilities of police, maintenance of relations with different communities, issues relating to human rights, investigation and prosecution.
IGP Ghulam Haider Jamali said that reforms process in Sindh Police is underway on different levels and training of police officers according to the need of modern times is specially focused. He further said that the anti-terrorism training has been made necessary for the under training officers.
