Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan on Sunday said that due to the ongoing sit-in in the federal capital, PTI's message has reached every nook and corner of the country. Addressing the party workers at D-Chowk after attending a public rally in Lahore, he said: "The nation has wakened and new Pakistan is in the making." A grand firework was held at D-Chow when PTI chief reached the sit-in venue from Lahore.
He strongly condemned the terrorists attack at an Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) camp in Hangu and sympathised with the victims' families.
Imran thanked his workers for staging 45 days long sit-in in the capital, saying that the workers revolted against oppression and demonstrated firm resolve.
He said that he had spent Eid-ul-Fitr with the IDPs and would spend Eid ul Azha at Azadi Chowk. He appealed to the people to join him at the sit-in venue to celebrate Eid.
The PTI chief said that his party would hold public rally in Mianwali on coming Thursday. Imran said that a historic public rally was held in Lahore and congratulated party workers for taking part in the rally in such a great number.
He said that the joint session of the Parliament had exposed the pro-status quo forces badly.
He reiterated that the sit-in would continue till the resignation of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.
