On following environmental standards and national environmental quality standards, investment in environment protection 70 corporate organisations awarded environment excellence award 2014. A colourful ceremony held at local hotel and governor Punjab Chaudhry M Sarwar was the chief guest and awarded environment awards to all senior top management and HSE managers.
Federal Minister Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal, Provincial Minister Zakia Shahnawaz, President NFEH Mohammad Naeem Qureshi, Chairman Dr Kaisar Waheed, President Make A Wish Foundation Mirza Ashtiaq Baig, Chairman Textile City Mirza Akhtiar Baig, Manager Country Transport Project of UNDP Saleem Janjua, Azhar A. Khan, Shahid A. Khan and Khalid Iqbal spoke at the occasion.
The Punjab governor distributed awards among 70 leading industrial and commercial organisations for making struggle for implementation of best environmental activities. He lauded the innovative efforts made by NFEH and other organisations in environment conservation and protection.
Naeem Qureshi informed about the aim of environmental awards given to industrial and commercial organisations, which had increased the quality of environment over the last 11 years owing to the support of organisations in this regard.
