On the conclusion of annual elections for 2014-15 of the All Pakistan Textile Processing Mills Association (APTPMA), Anees Ahmed Motiwala of M/s Motiwala Industries, Karachi, was elected Chairman, and Idrees Ahmed of M/s Rashid Textile Printing Industries, Faisalabad, was elected Senior Vice Chairman while Muhammad Ahmed of M/s Ahmed Jamal Textile, Faisalabad, M Yaseen Essa of M/s Essatex Industries, Karachi, and Khawaja Shahzad Nasir of M/s Kh Nasir Uddin & Sons, Lahore, were elected Vice Chairmen from Faisalabad, Karachi and Lahore/Gujranwala, respectively.
According to official announcement of APTPMA Head Office in Faisalabad, during the first and second phase of APTPMA election 15 members of APTPMA Executive Committee (who constituted 50 percent of the total number) were made to retire from office after completion of two-year term in conformity with the existing rules and following 15 members of APTPMA Executive Committee were elected to replace them for 2014-15, commencing from 1st October, 2014: FAISALABAD REGION: Mian Aftab Ahmed of M/s Hilal Textile Corporation, Muhammad Akram of M/s Shoaib Usman Textile Industries, Ghulam Jillani of M/s Al-Jillani Textile Industries, Muhammad Shafiq of M/s Al-Noor Processing, Ahmed Bilal of M/s Insaf Textile Printing Mills.
KARACHI REGION: Anees Ahmed Motiwala of M/s Motiwala Industries, M Yaseen Essa of Essa Tex Industries, Muhammad Adeel of M/s Oman Industries, Muhammad Yaseen of M/s Lucky Industries, Asif Maqsood of M/s Rashid Silk Mills.
LAHORE/GUJRANWALA REGION: Khawaja Shahzad Nasir of Kh Nasir Uddin & Sons, Lahore, Malik Riaz Iqbal of M/s Nadir Said Jan Industries, Lahore, Javed Iqbal of M/s Shafi Industries, Lahore, Muhammad Arshad Gondal of Gondal Dyeing, Gujranwala, Muhammad Ayub Chughtai of Ahsan Dyeing, Gujranwala. All newly-elected Members of Executive Committee would complete their term of two years.
During the third and final stage of APTPMA elections, Chairman, Senior Vice Chairman and three Vice Chairmen were elected from the newly-elected and remaining 50 percent members of Executive Committee for the year 2013-14 as under:
Senior Vice Chairman Idrees Ahmed of Rashid Textile Printing Industries, Faisalabad (1) Vice Chairman and Regional In Charge of Faisalabad Region, Muhammad Ahmed of M/s Ahmed Jamal Textile Mills (2) Vice Chairman & Regional In Charge of Karachi Region M Yaseen Essa of M/s Essa Tex Industries and (3) Vice Chairman & Regional In Charge of Lahore/Gujranwala Region, Khawaja Shahzad Nasir of M/s Kh Nasir Uddin & Sons, Lahore.
Finally, Anees Ahmed Motiwala of M/s Motiwala Industries, Karachi, was elected Chairman. The most outstanding feature of the elections was that all the candidates were declared elected unopposed.
