Senior Minister for Education Sindh, Nisar Ahmed Khuhro, has said that peaceful and conducive environment is a must for economic growth of the country. Speaking at the annual dinner of Korangi Association of Trade and Industry (KATI), he blamed the frequent dismissal of elected governments and disruption in democratic process for all the ills of the country.
He said that the elected governments were not allowed to complete their constitutionally-mandated terms which created frustration among masses. Chief Executive TDAP, S.M. Muneer, who is also a prominent leader of business community, said the anti-Pakistan elements were trying their level best to weaken the country.
He emphasised the need of supporting democratic system in the country. He apprehended that export orders may be diverted to other countries, as foreign media projecting Pakistan negatively and the foreign buyers were of the view that entire Pakistan had been closed owing to the sit-ins at Islamabad. Vice President of FPCCI S. M. Naseer said that if the investment and trading activities were stopped then the demon of unemployment would get out of control.
He said that the political parties who are opposing the government may criticise the government but should not oppose and hinder the business activities. Mian Zahid Hussain said that the political leaders may have differences but any action which is against the national interest should be avoided. Senator Abdul Haseeb Khan also spoke on the occasion.
