An election tribunal on Saturday declared election in Sindh Assembly's constituency PS-22 Nowsheroferoze as null and void for massive rigging and ordered re-election in the constituency. Arif Mustafa Jatoi of National People's Party (NPP) had challenged Pakistan People's Party (PPP) Abdul Sattar Rajpar's election as MPA from PS-22, stating that massive rigging was committed in the elections.
After hearing both the parties' counsel in detail, the tribunal held the elections in PS-22 were rigged and ordered a re-election in the constituency. It is to be mentioned here that after general elections in 2013, the NPP merged with Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz.
