Al-Shifa Trust has appealed to the public to donate hides of their sacrificial animals to the Trust According to a spokesman of Al-Shifa Trust, the citizens may participate in charity work of Al-Shifa Trust by giving hides/donations to Al-Shifa Trust as the money collected from hide's collection campaign is spent to provide free eye treatment to the poor and destitute.
Al-Shifa eye hospital is providing world class treatment to the poor and needy eye patients, he added. He informed that during last one year, the hospital has provided free of cost eye treatment to over 200,000 patients including complex surgeries. He said, the hospital's annual fiscal budget this year is Rs 534 million; more than half of this is to be met from public donations and Zakat and the remaining revenue is generated from its own sources.
