49,543 IDPs: families of NWA receive Rs 396.35 million: PDMA

As many as 49,543 temporarily displaced families of North Waziristan Agency have received Rs 396.35 million under the Provincial Government Esaar-e-Pakthunkhwa Programme to help them in their hour of need. According to Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA), the Khyber Pakthunkhwa Government under its Esaar-e-Pakhtunkhwa Programme has disbursed Rs 396.35 million among 49,543 families of North Waziristan Agency till October 3.
All the registered verified families would be provided with Rs 23,000 including (Ramazan Package Rs 5,000, Rs 3,000/- monthly house rent). Non food items like tents, blankets would also be provided to them ahead of upcoming winter season. Special arrangements were also made for entertainment of children of displaced families at relief camps in Bannu.
