Public transporters took full advantage of festival of Eid by charging extra fares from the passengers who are coming back from their native places to attend their respective offices on Thursday. Every year transporters charge extra fares on Eid leaving people with no other choice as the concerned authorities have turned a blind eye towards the issue adding miseries to the general public.
Besides long route vans and buses, local transporters also charged extra fares from the people. Gull Khan, a van driver while sharing his views said, "I send my all family members to hometown and spending Eid here alone just to provide transport facility to local residents of the city." He further said, "I convinced my parents and children that I will bring new clothes for all of them and spend lot of time with them after Eid."
