Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Chief Minister Pervez Khattak has expressed deep sense of shock and grief on tragic road accidents in Chitral, Dir and Karak. In these incidents a passenger jeep fell into river while travelling from Arandu to Drosh in Chitral, a pickup slipped into a deep ravine while negotiating a sharp turn at Dogdara in Dir Upper and a car rammed into a motorcycle due to over speeding at Methakhel in Karak district claiming a number of persons and injuring many others.
The chief minister in his separate condolence messages expressed deep sympathies with all the affected families saying such horrifying road accidents during joyous days of Eidul Azha besides the grieved families also made him and others gloomy due to loss of precious human lives.
He asked the concerned local administrations to extend all out co-operation to the affected families. He also prayed for eternal peace of the departed souls and early recovery of the injured. Meanwhile, Pervez Khattak condemned the attack on polio workers in Mohmand agency. In a message he said that polio workers remained busy for great cause of national health and saved our children from disability. Hence their target killing was nothing but a big terrorism and enmity with the nation so the culprits must be dealt with severely. He prayed for eternal peace of the martyred polio workers and expressed heartfelt sympathies with all the members of the grieved families.
