Federal Minister for Religious Affairs Sardar Mohammed Yousaf expressed his gratitude to the Saudi government for making excellent arrangements for the Haj 2014. The minister met with Bandar bin Mohammed Hajjar, minister of Haj at his office on Wednesday. Minister Yousef conveyed felicitations from President Mamnoon Hussain and Prime Minister Mohammed Nawaz Sharif to Custodian of the two Holy Mosques King Abdullah, Crown Prince Salman and Haj Minister Bandar Hajjar for taking special care of the pilgrims in general, and Pakistani pilgrims in particular.
Yousaf was accompanied by Chairman Haj Advisory Committee Akram Ansari MNA, Hafiz Abdul Karim MNA, Consul General Aftab A Khokher, Director General Haj Syed Abu Aakif and Press Consular Sohail Ali Khan who were also present in the meeting. The minister observed that most of the suggestions discussed by the Ministry of Religious Affairs regarding the welfare of Pakistani pilgrims were accepted by the Haj Ministry. He also discussed matters pertaining to the facilities provided to Pakistani pilgrims this year and gave some suggestions for ensuring more convenience to Pakistani pilgrims in Haj 2015.
Hajjar thanked the minister for his visit and expressed his best wishes to Pakistan and its people. He noted the suggestions, given by the Pakistani Federal Minister and assured that these would be incorporated in the Haj policy of 2015. Nearly 143,368 Pakistani pilgrims performed Haj this year with the Pakistan Haj mission providing all the facilities and services to the pilgrims.
