Schools re-open after: Eid holidays

Schools across the city re-opened on Thursday after five-day Eid holidays. The attendance of students was thin in schools. Heads of many educational institutions said this was expected as many of the students had left for their home towns to celebrate Eid. "There is an impression among many of the parents that academic activities, after any interval, would resume to its optimum from Monday, the first day of the next week, only," said Ms Mukhtar Khan, headmistress of a local government school.
