President Mamnoon Hussain on Sunday visited Armed Forces Institute of Ophthalmology to inquire after the health of those who have been injured during the ongoing operation against militants. The President met injured soldiers as well as civilian patients and inquired after their health. The President paid rich tributes to the armed forces and lauded the courage, patriotism and professionalism of the personnel who were fighting against extremist elements in order to rid the country of the scourge of militancy and terrorism.
While lauding invaluable sacrifices of the armed forces, law-enforcing agencies and the entire nation, the President said that "our sacrifices will never go in vain and we are destined to succeed." The President was also briefed about the facilities available and the care being provided to the patients.-PR
