District administration Peshawar continued crackdown against profiteers even on holiday and arrested 75 persons including grocers, fresh milk sellers, nanbais, vegetable vendors, confectioners and others for overcharging the people. According to details, on the directives of Deputy Commissioner (DC) Peshawar, Syed Zaheer-ul-Islam, the Additional Assistant Commissioners (AACs) Ahmad Kamal, Mohammad Fawad, Mohammad Shoaib and Haseeb-ur-Rehman conducted raids on profiteers in different markets on Charsadda Road, Shah Qabool area, Dalazak Road, Kohat Road, G.T. Road and Hayatabad and 75 persons were arrested.
The arrested persons were included grocers, fresh milk sellers, nanbais, vegetable vendors, confectioners and others.
