The Lahore High Court here on Monday directed the federal government to submit details of the expenses incurred on a recent visit of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, his family and personal servants to New York by November 6. Barrister Javed Iqbal Jafree challenged foreign tours of the PM, his stay at expensive hotels and other privileges.
The lawyer stated that expenses were made through public money. He argued that the rulers could not use national exchequer to enjoy luxurious life style. The petitioner also asked the court to place the PM and his family members on Exit Control List (ECL) to restrain them from making foreign tours with public money.
