National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa arrested Pir Muhammad Azam, an official of Settlement Department Peshawar on the charges of corruption and misuse of authority. As per details the accused prepared fake and back dated documents for the lease of prime properties located at Saddar Road near Old State Bank Building and Sunehri Masjid Road Peshawar.
The accused was earlier arrested by NAB on May 12, 2014 on the charges of illegal allotment of land in Risalpur Cantt. Currently the accused was in Central Jail on judicial remand. Accountability Court granted physical custody of the accused and remanded him into NAB custody for 7 days.
