Unknown armed men gunned down a second lieutenant of Pakistan Army and injured his two brothers here on Tuesday. SP City Umer Tufail said that the incident took place in Journalist Colony within the jurisdiction of Baldia police station Hyderabad when unidentified motorcyclists opened fire at Abdul Hadi Mughal, a second lieutenant in Pakistan Army and his two brothers present outside their residence.
As a result of firing Abdul Hadi died on the spot while his two brothers Faisal Mughal and Ali Mughal sustained multiple wounds. The assailants managed to escape from the scene after committing the crime. The body was shifted to Combined Military Hospital (CMH) while the injured were taken to Liaquat University Hospital (LUH) and later shifted to a private bone hospital in the same area. Tufail hinted at some personal feud which may have led to the killing. "Neither anything was snatched nor any robbery attempt was made," he said. He added that there is a claim that assailants had intruded the house and targeted them at the entrance.
