The Karachi Tax Bar Association (KTBA) is going to kick off its third edition of Professional Development Program (PDP) 2014 to educate the professionals about taxation. Talking to Business Recorder, Convenor of PDP-2014 Khalid Mahmood said that professionals from top CA firms and Bar members would deliver lectures on 12 different topics related to direct and indirect taxes, audit, appeal, taxation laws, interpretation of statutes, Qanoon-e-Shahadat, etc in the program.
He said the PDP-2014, which was scheduled to be commenced from October 17, 2014, would extensively cover all core issues related to taxation during its fortnightly classes. Moreover, he said that 40 participants belonging to industries, Bars, etc had been enrolled for the program, which would continue till March 2015.
He said that after receiving overwhelming response in 2011 and 2013, the executive committee of KTBA was now conducting third edition of PDP with the aim to impart professional knowledge to the professionals belonging to industries and Bars. He also hoped that this course would indeed enhance the quality of knowledge and professionalism of the participants.
