PIA has so far carried more than 18,000 Hajjis from Jeddah to Pakistan through 38 post-Hajj and regular scheduled flights, PIA spokesman said here on Wednesday. PIA has operated 10 flights to Karachi carrying 3,700 Hajjis, 10 flights to Lahore carrying 4,500 Hajjis, seven flights to Islamabad carrying 3,400 Hajjis, five flights to Peshawar carrying 1,700 Hajjis and six flights to Quetta bringing back 2,000 Hajjis respectively.
Spokesperson said the congestion at Jeddah Hajj terminal was easing out and PIA Hajj flights were departing on time. PIA officials deputed at Jeddah Hajj terminal are in constant touch with Hajj Ministry and Tours Operators for on time arrival of Hujjaj buses from Makkah. As per directives of PIA Chairman Muhammad Ali Gardezi and PIA Managing Director Shahnawaz Rehman, PIA is providing best possible services to returning Hujjaj.-PR
