The 31st meeting of the Board of Directors of FATA Development Authority chaired by Mr Fida Muhammad Wazir, Chief Executive FATA-DA was held here on Thursday, which was attended by Engineer Nauman Wazir, Mr Shahid-ur-Rehman, Ms Shamama-tul-Amber Arbab, Mr Dil Roz Khan besides officials from Planning and Finance Divisions Islamabad, FATA Secretariat and FATA-DA.
The Board of Directors was briefed on the ongoing development activities of FATA-DA in FATA. Annual Review of FATA-DA ADP 2013-14 was presented to the Board. Board was informed that FATA-DA have completed two more Small Dams Projects; Moto Shah in Mohmand Agency and Zao in Khyber Agency whereas Sheen Kach Small Dams in FR DIKhan and Kand Small Dam in North Waziristan Agency would be completed soon once the situation improves in the area.
Members of the Board of Directors deliberated upon all the agenda items. Prominent amongst the agenda items assented to by the Board, were the projects of Sarobi Small Dam in North Waziristan Agency, Ping Small Dam in FR Bannu and Shakai Small Dam in South Waziristan Agency. Also irrigation schemes in Kurram and other FATA Agencies / FRs which would irrigate vast cultivable tracks of lands in FATA were approved. All out efforts of FATA-DA in line with the Governor's directives were appreciated as these are destined to bring a big change in the sustainable economic development of FATA and bringing it at par with the rest of the country.
