Developmental funds in SWA: government urged to take notice of alleged misappropriation

Chief of Ahmadzai Wazir tribe of Wana, South Waziristan Agency, Malik Muhammad Jameel demanded the government to take notice of alleged misappropriation in development funds, by political administration of the tribal agency. He was addressing a news conference at press club here on Thursday. He accused the political agent of SWA Islam Zeb had made massive level embezzlement in funds of various uplift schemes, under the Annual Development program (ADP) and Governor Support programme (GSP).
He furthermore said the political administration had denied to meet with tribesmen, even jailed them without any reasons. Malik Jameel said all developmental schemes were awarded without documentation proof among influential and corrupt people of the agency. He further accused that the agency PA has been involved in smuggling of different edible items including sugar, flour, rice and other things and dozens of trucks were brought from Punjab smuggled the said items via District Tank and then Garhwai, Daghzai and Angor Ada of the agency to neighbouring Afghanistan. "Blue eyes political Moharrar have been deputed on different check posts who accumulated illegal millions of rupees daily and then give the money to the PA", he blamed. The chief demanded the Governor KP to notice of alleged corruption and remove PA from his position forthwith, and replace him with an honest person in South Waziristan Agency.
