Pakistan Muslim League-Q (PML-Q) President and former Prime Minister Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain has said that an individual, party, army, or judiciary alone cannot solve the problems of the country, all will have to be on same page in the national interest to ensure solidarity and security of Pakistan.
Addressing a public meeting at the Minar-e-Pakistan, Shujaat said that abuses against Pakistan army in the assembly and soft posture of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif towards India were very harmful for Pakistan and the Army.
Mentioning the sacrifices and services of Pak Army, he regretted that the Defence Minister kept hurling abuses on his army on the floor of the assembly but it was quite unfortunate that against India the Prime Minister and the Defence talked softly.
He said that 65-day long sit-ins in Islamabad had generated the spirit for struggle against oppression and injustice. He said that Chaudhry Parvez Elahi during his tenure in the Punjab as CM and he during his brief tenure as the Prime Minister did revolutionary works for the poor and common man including entry of religion into the passport, facility to bring deceased overseas Pakistanis body free, free education and medicines, 1122 Rescue Service, Ring Road, incentives and amenities for the farmers as well as not sending the army to Iraq and law to provide first aid to the injured before police report.
He attended the PAT public meeting along with Tariq Bashir Cheema, Chaudhry Zaheeruddin Khan, Ahmad Yar Heraj, Haleem Adil Shaikh, Ajmal Wazir, Zulfiqar Ghumman and others.
