Dispelling the impression that the Pakistan Awami Tehreek is going for deal with the government, PAT chief Dr Tahirul Qadri has vowed that he would not compromise on the blood of innocents martyred at Model Town. Talking his supporters before departing for Lahore here on Sunday, Qadri said that he wanted blood for blood in the Model Town case, adding that he would neither surrender to tyranny and oppression nor would compromise. Qadri said that he will not strike a deal with the government but will avenge the deaths of innocent people who were killed in Model Town clashes with police. "The blood of martyrs will bring a revolution and those responsible will be punished," he added.
Qadri said the fate of Islamabad sit-in would be decided after the PAT rally in Lahore as the PAT would hold a 'historic' rally in Lahore which would prove that people were standing up for their rights and rejected the status quo.
"The sit-in is our decision, and we will end it with our own free will, if and when we choose as we did not stage the sit-on at the behest of anyone, nor will we carry out anyone's wishes to end it," Qadri said.
He told PAT activists at the sit-in that he would return to Islamabad on October 21 after holding rally in Lahore, adding that "we would celebrate the success of the historic rally".
