An upward trend was seen on the wholesale grain market on Monday in the process of modest trading, dealers said. On the cereals side, only Gur prices showed rising trend, gaining Rs 200 to Rs 6800 and 7500 due to rise in demand at the beginning of winter, they said and adding that prices my go up further in times to come.
On the rice sector, Irri-9 Sindh followed same pattern, picking up Rs 15 to Rs 3340 and Rs 3370, other items moved cautiously but closed at the week-end levels, they said. On the seeds sector, rapeseed cakes low type rose by Rs 55 to Rs 1275 and the best quality was higher by Rs 75 to Rs 1300, rapeseed Nawabshah and Mirpurlane lost Rs 25 to Rs 2550 and Rs 2575, cottonseed oilcakes with bag Sindh low type was down by Rs 40 to Rs 1300 and the best type was lower by Rs 25 to Rs 1350, they said. Prices did not move any side at the grams sector, they said.
