A Special Court trying former army chief and President Pervez Musharraf under Article 6 of the Constitution accepted prosecution's plea and adjourned the hearing of the matter till October 29. Abdul Ghani Somro, Registrar of the Special Court, announced the adjournment in response to prosecutor Mohammad Akram Sheikh's request who had sought two weeks. According to Sheikh, he is unable to prepare arguments due to his wife's demise.
It is pertinent to mention that during the previous hearing of the case defence counsel, Dr Farogh Nasim, had concluded his arguments with a view to substantiating his point that abettors, including former prime minister Shaukat Aziz and others should also be made part of the interrogation in the current case.
