The Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Tariq Fatimi graced the closing session of the NDU-RDDC Seminar on "Regional Stability and Lessons Learned in Regional Peace building," as a chief guest, held here in the National Defence University on Thursday.
The seminar which was presided over by Lieutenant General Javed, President of the NDU, focused on the situation in the region with many distinguished speakers from the regional countries and beyond participating and speaking in it. The conclusions of the conference would be collated and circulated soon.
The Special Assistant to the Prime Minister, while highlighting Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif's remarks in the United Nations General Assembly Session this year, in which he had spoken of the importance "more dialogue and diplomacy to resolve the problems of the region;" stressed that "we cannot build, much less sustain peace, without resolving the underlined problems and disputes, including the issue of Jammu and Kashmir."-PR
