Today, we are celebrating the 67th foundation day of the Government and the state of Azad Jammu and Kashmir with long-established and time-honored enthusiasm and fervor, restating our pledge to keep on our struggle until we achieve our objectives for which our government had come into power.
Dear Brothers. In accordance with the Hindustan Divide formula, all the sub-continent states were given the rights to annex with Pakistan or Hindustan on the basis of will of their majority of population. If the Muslims were in majority they could affiliate themselves with Pakistan and if the majority of population was Hindu, then they had the right to affiliate with India. The Jammu and Kashmir was a Muslim majority state and according to this formula they were supposed to affiliate and annex with Pakistan. However, the Dogara Maharaja announced the affiliation of the state with India. The people of the Kashmir stood against this and started mutinous movement against the state authorities. With the help of Pakistan, Kashmir people were able to liberate a large part of the Kashmir and established an independent government of their own.
Dear people of Kashmir! in 1947, the Kashmir Mujahedeen fought with the fully armed Indian Forces with fortitude and jingoism. The mujahedeen gained success at every step and a large part of the state was liberated from the clutches of the enemy. Indian forces could not sustain in front of the mujahedeen and they appealed and sought help of the United Nations. They promised to the United Nations that they will conduct the referendum, so that the people would be able to decide for their destiny and affiliation, however, the India was not intending to give freedom and opportunity to the people of Jammu and Kashmir. After being distressed, the Kashmiri people decided to start the armed struggle. Until this day, more than 100000 Kashmiri people have been martyred. They have offered the historical sacrifices for their right to self determination and have made it clear that they will never cease their struggle until achieving their fundamental right which was promised by the International community.
Dear brothers! at this occasion of 67th Foundation Day of the Government and the State of Azad Jammu and Kashmir! I salute to all freedom fighters, who have offered their lives, fighting in the way to liberate Kashmir; I offer my heartfelt tribute to our legendary heroes and pledge that the government of the Azad state of Jammu and Kashmir and the people are and will always be with our Kashmiri freedom fighters in their struggle. Our great efforts will continue until we achieve our destination which is the accession of complete state with Pakistan. May Allah almightily be with us all the way to success! Ameen.
