The Additional Session Judge Islamabad on Saturday adjourned to October 29 the proceedings of Shohada Foundation of Pakistan Trust (SFPT) application for the registration of a second FIR of the Lal Masjid killings against former president General Pervez Musharraf (Retd), former Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz and all his Cabinet Members. The Additional Session Judge, Skindar Khan resumed the hearing of a petition filed by SFPT.
During the course of proceedings, Musharraf's counsel Akhter Shah contended that an FIR had already been registered against his client in the Lal Masjid Operation case; he added that the SFPT has also nominated his client as major accused in the second FIR application. He pleaded in the court to issue direction for the exclusion of Musharraf's name from the SFPT application. The Judge remarked that the court would decide the matter on merit. The proceedings of the matter were adjourned till October 29.
