Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif will leave for the United States next month (November) on a week-long visit. According to Inter-Services Public Relations, US Joint Chief of Army Staff extended the invitation to General Sharif to visit the US where he will meet the US military leadership. His visit will start from November 16, where he will meet the US Central Command chief at US Central Command (Centcom) headquarters in Florida.
Defence sources said that his trip comes at a crucial point when the Army has been engaged in military operation against militants in North Waziristan.
