While expressing solidarity with Kashmiri people, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan on Monday urged Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to give right of self-determination to the people of Jammu and Kashmir, as it will bring peace in the region.
Addressing his party workers at D-Chowk, PTI chief asked India Prime Minister to utilise his mandate for resolution of long standing Kashmir issue to end poverty and bring peace in the region rather than fighting. "Leaders of both Pakistan and India need to utilise all resources to improve the living standard of the poor masses," he said.
He said that we stand firm with our Kashmiri brothers." Modi the more you commit brutalities in Kashmir, the more the people will struggle to get freedom. Military option is not the solution of the issue," he said. PTI chief said that there should be peace in the sub-continent, with peace in the region, trade will increase which will help in reducing poverty.
Imran Khan said that his party will stage protest today (Tuesday) in front of Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) against massive rigging in the general election. "Speaker National Assembly Ayaz Sadiq is using delaying tactics to save himself but his party will expose him," he said. He said that PTI will register criminal cases against returning officers as soon as the decisions on Shoaib Siddiqui's and Imran constituencies are announced.
The PTI chief said that 'Go Nawaz Go' slogan is not only limited to Nawaz Sharif but it is also against the system of which former president of Asif Ali Zardar is integral part, JUI chief Fazl Rehman and other corrupt people are also part of it. Wikileaks reveal that JUI chief Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman requested former US ambassador Anne W. Patterson to make him the Prime Minister as he can serve US better than other, he said. On one hand Maulana is vying for Islamic system and on the other seek premiership from US.
Imran Khan said that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif did not declare his actual assets. "If I am wrong here, take me to the court," he said. He said that former chief justice of Pakistan Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry is Mir Jaffar of our democracy. He asked Iftikhar Chaudhry he is waiting for court summon and will expose him and Nawaz Sharif that how you both rigged general election 2013.
PTI chief said that middle class is the backbone of our country but due to rising class difference in our society it is diminishing. Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Asif Ali Zardari have transferred all their money abroad & due to rising dollar-rupee parity, they are becoming richer with every passing day.
He said that Rs 10 billion is annually earned through PTV license fee but no one knows where these billion of rupees are going. Pakistan Steel Mills six years back had declared Rupees six billion profit but now it is going in losses, he said adding that new power meters are 30 to 40 percent faster but no party except PTI raised this issue. Imran said that kickbacks of Rs 200 to 300 billion are expected from coal power plants, but his party would not let it happen. If it were a democratic government, it would have resigned on Rs 70 billion billing, he said.
