The Punjab government on Wednesday approved ten development schemes of various development sectors with an estimated cost of Rs 7874.244 million. These schemes were approved in the 20th meeting of Provincial Development Working Party of current fiscal year 2014-15 presided over by the Punjab Planning and Development Board Chairman, Muhammad Irfan Elahi.
The approved development schemes included: Provision of Laptops (Revised) at the cost of Rs 4946.326 million, Urban Water Supply Scheme Shahkot District Nankana Sahib (Revised) at the cost of Rs 214.373 million, Establishment of Wildlife Park at Jauharabad, District Khushab at the cost of Rs 268.586 million, Development of Animal Safaris and Improvement of Existing Facilities at Safari Zoo, Lahore at the cost of Rs 460.704 million. Construction of Road from Badiana-Bhogiwal-Merajke-Charwa Road (length=26.77 km) District Sialkot at the cost of Rs 339.793 million, Construction of Faisalabad Ring Road (Missing Links Between Faisalabad Sargodha Road and Faisalabad Chak Jhumra Road), length=11.82 km, Faisalabad (Revised) at the cost of Rs 360.297 million, Construction / Improvement of road from Chak No 71/SB to Sargodha Lahore Road along Chokera Minor I/C link 74/SB length 30.49 km, Sargodha (Revised) at the cost of Rs 339.537 million.
Protection of Bhakkar Flood Bund from Erosive Action between RD 0+000 to 76+000 to save Abadies agriculture land and other infrastructures of Bhakkar City at the cost of Rs 892.218 million. Feasibility Study for Rehabilitation of Haveli Main Line (PC-II) at the cost of Rs 28.872 million and Feasibility Study for Rehabilitation of D.G. Khan Canal System (PC-II) at the cost of Rs 23.538 million.
