The Lahore High Court here on Wednesday rejected a petition seeking details of 40 different cases registered against Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) chief Dr Tahirul Qadri. The petition was fixed before the single bench headed by Justice Syed Mansoor Ali Shah as an objection case. Earlier, the LHC registrar office had objected the petition holding that the petitioner was not an affectee.
A local citizen Amjad Ali had filed the petition and submitted that more than 40 different cases had been registered against Dr Tahirul Qadri. He said Dr Qadri did not appear before any court of law for his bail. He said the investigation of the cases was also not being done by the authorities concerned. The petitioner therefore prayed to the court to summon complete record of the cases and investigation on them.
