Kaiser Yousaf, a pioneer of wholesale trade of Bestway Group, retired from the business on Wednesday. Kaiser began with Bestway in 1982 as a non-food buyer at the Victoria Road depot in Acton. His career took him all across England and Wales and he was instrumental in the group's growth strategy often being called upon to take charge and develop new depots.
After General Manger roles at Bristol, Manchester and Cardiff, he was appointed Area Manager for the north before settling at the group's Park Royal headquarters as Trading Controller in 2000. He performed a number of senior roles in head office, finally taking on the role of Group Trading Director in 2012 from which unfortunately he had to step down earlier this year for personal reasons.
Younus Sheikh, Managing Director of Bestway spoke on behalf of all at Bestway saying, "Kaiser has been a colleague and a friend for many years and is a rare member of the generation that worked in the first ever Bestway depot. As the company expanded, he was one of the trusted lieutenants who we regularly called upon, due to his business acumen, energy and enthusiasm, to expand the business into new territories. He has been an iconic figure in the Bestway family for many years and is well respected by suppliers and by the industry. His contribution to the business, and indeed the industry, will not be forgotten.-PR
