Pakistan on Wednesday lodged a protest with India over the indiscriminate firing by Indian troops in Rawlakot sector that resulted in killing of a 70-year-old civilian. According to Foreign Office spokesperson Tasnim Aslam, the protest was lodged through diplomatic channels over the indiscriminate firing by the Indian forces on Tuesday.
It was not known whether any Indian diplomat was also summoned as per the diplomatic traditions or not. "Condemning the incident, Pakistan called upon India to restrain its security forces from firing on civilians, and stop the cease-fire violations across the LOC and the Working Boundary," the Foreign Office spokesperson added.
