KP Chief Minister Pervez Khattak while chairing the high level meeting about legislation on "Security of Sensitive Installation and Vulnerable Places Bill" at conference room of KP Assembly here on Wednesday has said that PTI-led coalition government would ensure foolproof security of all cities as well as proper legislative cover would also be provided to all such measures wherein responsibilities of government, private institutions and people would be fixed accordingly.
The meeting took necessary decisions in light of the proposals and recommendations of the participants. Provincial Minister Imtiaz Shaid Quershi, Mohammad Atif Khan, Shah Farman Khan, JUI leader Mualan Lutfur Rehman, QWP leader Sikandar Sherpao, Aneesa Zeb Tahir Kheli, Syed Jaffar Shah, Muhmmad Ali, Syed Muhammad Ali Shah Bacha, Sardar Muhammad Idrees, Sardar Aurganzeb Nalotha, other MPAs, Secretary Home Syed Akhtar Ali Shah, Secretary Law Muhammad Airfeen Khan, Inspector General Police Nasir Durrani and other authorities attended the meeting.
The opposition members welcomed the comprehensive legation of protection of the people and besides assuring all-out support also expressed the hope that all these laws would be made transparent enough to avoid chances of misusing it anywhere. KP chief minister made clear that we could emerge a successful nation only if all the Assembly members and people strictly abide by the constitution and laws. He regretted that the acts of terrorism and subversion traced back two decades but no proper attention was given to security measures in the past nor sufficient legislation was made.
Khattak agreed to the motion that security of all public and private installations, buildings and sensitive places is impossible for the government and police alone. However he said the joint efforts and sharing of responsibilities on the part of private institutions could ensure proper safety and security. He assured that PTI government would never increase the burden of taxes on the poor masses at any cost but these would be reduced with passage of time.
