Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Tuesday endorsed the PCB's nomination of Najam Sethi for the ICC President's position. Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman, Shaharyar M. Khan, and Board of Governors (BoG), have unanimously recommended Najam Sethi as Pakistan's nominee for President of International Cricket Council (ICC) for the 2015-16 term commencing on July 1, 2015.
Sethi also remained caretaker chief minister of Punjab during the last general elections and was nominated as PCB chairman in 2013 by PM Nawaz Sharif. Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has accused him of carrying out vote rigging in favour of PML-N.
