At least four people were killed and five seriously injured Thursday when a small plane crashed into a building at an airport in the US state of Kansas, officials said.
The twin-engine aircraft lost engine power shortly after takeoff and crashed into a building while attempting to return to the runway at the Wichita Mid-Continent Airport, the Federal Aviation Administration said. Five people were taken to the hospital with "serious" injuries and rescue crews are still searching for four people who were inside the building, city officials said in a statement.
