KP Chief Minister Pervez Khattak has said that Karbala tragedy was in-fact a tragedy emanated due to wrong policies of tyrant and corrupt rulers that envisaged a great lesson for the entire humanity.
He said it demarcated line between the right and wrong wherein the great sacrifice rendered by Hazarat Imam Hussain (R.A), the dearest nephew of the holy prophet Hazarat Muhammad (PBUH), for the right cause would be remembered for good and hence it was then a beacon-light for the Muslim Ummah in terms of standing against the ineligible rulers, patience and sincerity to purpose.
In his message on Yaum-e-Ashura, the Chief Minister said that the Karbala incident taught us the lesson to demonstrate the spirit of love with humanity, support the right and reject the wrong. He said following these principles could not only keep us united and revive the glory of Muslims but could lay solid foundations for durable peace in Pakistan and the world at large. He said that the petty differences among various sects of Muslims were not new but over fourteen centuries old. However he said that like the past these differences must not be harmful for the religion or Ummah rather it fixed directions for various schools of thoughts of Muslims to evolve their social fabrics.
He in this connection mentioned Hadith of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) saying that difference of opinion in Muslim Ummah was a blessing whereas quarrels and oppositions were punitive and counterproductive hence it was wisdom to restrict the petty differences up to the awareness and promoting knowledge and not to make it bone of contention among various sects of Muslims.
The Chief Minister appealed the nation to follow the foot prints of Imam Hussain (R.A) and hence celebrate the Ashura in such a manner to unite the Muslim Ummah while the teachings of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) and Imam Hussain (RA) also guided us to forge unity for success and prosperity of the entire mankind.
He said that peace was our national and global need and hence it was urgency of the hour to maintain mutual harmony and fraternity among the Muslims especially during the holy month of Muharram adding that it was the bounden duty of every Muslim all and sundry to adhere to the true philosophy of Islam. He further appealed the people especially Ulema to cooperate with the government for maintaining peace and foil the nefarious design of miscreants. "We must discharge our duties and maintain peace and unity as responsible citizens of a nation", he concluded.
